Minnesota HIE commences pilot with LTC facilities

The Minnesota Health Information Exchange has begun a pilot to provide 12 long-term care facilities with data on their elder patients. Officials are trying to determine what the benefits will be to LTC facilities, many of whom do not have health IT systems in place.

R.I. ACLU sues R.I. Dept. of Health over privacy of EMRs

Hospital CIOs worried they won't make it to meaningful use finish line

Eight in 10 hospital CIOs said they are concerned or very concerned they will not be able to demonstrate meaningful use of electronic health records by the government's 2015 deadline, according to a survey released Tuesday, June 29, by PricewaterhouseCoopers Health Research Institute.
