NHIN Direct to widen access to health information exchange

The NHIN Direct project will expand the number of entities that will be able to access the Nationwide Health Information Network, said Doug Fridsma, the director of standards and interoperability in the Office of the National Coordinator, told attendees at the Health Information Management Systems Society Annual Conference & Exhibition in Atlanta the first week in March.
